Skin tags are small, soft growths that commonly appear in areas where skin rubs together, such as the neck, underarms, or skin folds. They are usually harmless, but they may catch on clothing or jewelry or become bothersome.
TempSure® uses high-frequency radiofrequency energy to cut and coagulate tissue. For selected skin tags, the handpiece allows the provider to remove the growth with precision while limiting heat spread to nearby tissue. Dr. Yao will examine the area before treatment to confirm that the growth is appropriate for removal. If it needs further evaluation, she will discuss the next steps with you.
Healing and aftercare vary based on the size and location of the skin tag. Dr. Yao will provide instructions for caring for the treated area.
